The Lands Council Facilitates New Environmental Health Assessment Team!
In January 2007, The Lands Council contracted with the Spokane Regional
Health District to facilitate a new, dynamic process in Spokane County
to assess our priority environmental health issues. Instead of a
top-down approach, community-based environmental assessment is a
collaborative approach to solving environmental health concerns. We
have formed an Environmental Health Assessment Team (EHAT) with a
diverse mixture of government of government employees, citizens,
non-profit organizations, conservation groups, health professionals and
educational institutions to work together through the community
assessment process.
