The Lands Council is working with developers, planners, water quality experts and architects to incorporate Low Impact Development (LID) practices in Spokane's commercial and residential developments. Doing so will:
Protect native trees and plants during construction
Allow natural filtration of snow and rainwater, protecting our rivers
Increase the capacity of wastewater treatment plants
Reduce construction costs for builders
Groundbreaking ceremony at the Ben Burr development site
