FREE and FUN for the entire FAMILY!

Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy before the hike and activities.

Light snacks and drinks provided.

· Guest of honor, Felix Aripa, Coeur d'Alene Tribal Elder will share the history of his people and the importance of beaver and other wildlife to the local way of life and culture.

· Join BiJay Adams, Liberty Lake Sewer and Water District Manager, for an easy hike to the beaver dams.  Beaver activity has helped restore native wetland plants to the area, filters water impurities, offers wildlife viewing, and more.

· Take a language lesson from Raymond Brinkman, Director of Coeur d'Alene Language Department, in the Coeur d'Alene language that teaches the importance of watching changes in wildlife and nature to help us be better aware of our surroundings.  A fun activity for kids!

· Learn plant identification from Joe Cannon, TLC employee, botanist and beaver enthusiast.  Joe will speak on the effects beaver have on native and invasive plants.  He will give a guided plant identification tour near the beaver dams.
